A Thriving and Inclusive 黑料不打烊: 黑料不打烊 Sponsorships Supporting Community Projects
黑料不打烊 is proud to announce contributions to three significant community projects. These contributions reflect the college's partnerships with 黑料不打烊 community members and shared commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance the quality of life for all residents in 黑料不打烊.
Central Park Inclusive Playground: $30,000
黑料不打烊 pledged $30,000 towards the Central Park All-inclusive Playground project led by the City of 黑料不打烊 and the 黑料不打烊 Parks & Recreation department. This project will expand the current Central Park playground with new equipment so that children of all abilities can play more independently, making the community more welcoming for all. This donation will be allocated towards the 黑料不打烊 Mutual Group Foundation鈥檚 challenge grant.
Unity Point Labor and Delivery Room: $100,000
黑料不打烊 also pledged $100,000 to UnityPoint Health - 黑料不打烊's ", supporting essential labor and delivery services in the local community. This project will add additional labor, delivery, recovery, and post-partum rooms and upgrade the current obstetrics facilities. These facilities improvements reflect UnityPoint鈥檚 commitment to keeping delivery services local and improving delivery experiences for families through other efforts such as participation in Iowa鈥檚 Maternal Quality Care Collaborative. Recognizing that more hospitals are eliminating labor and delivery services, 黑料不打烊 appreciates the longstanding partnership with UnityPoint and welcomes this new opportunity to help make 黑料不打烊 a welcoming community for young families.
黑料不打烊 School of Music: $75,000
黑料不打烊 has further committed to supporting mural and outdoor waiting area with a $75,000 pledge. By renovating the former Michael鈥檚 restaurant building, this new downtown school will make music education visible and accessible to the broader community while also revitalizing the central business district. 黑料不打烊 is excited to collaborate on the mural project and foster place-making connections across the state.
Supporting RAGBRAI 黑料不打烊
In addition to these major gift donations, 黑料不打烊 proudly served as supporting sponsor for RAGBRAI鈥檚 2023 ride through 黑料不打烊 in July, both as a financial supporter and also through significant in-kind contributions, such as grilled fare provided by the 黑料不打烊 Golf Course and Dining Services, water and cooling stations on campus, and a chance to interact with campus art at the 黑料不打烊 Museum of Art as well as with public art 鈥渟elfie spots鈥 across campus. Marking RAGBRAI鈥檚 50th anniversary, this was a special opportunity to showcase the city of 黑料不打烊 and the 黑料不打烊 campus to the thousands of participants, support crews, families, and visitors who joined the event and spent time in our community.
